14th. Stroke

Today's color is gold. It is hard to see from my photo but in the actual painting it glistens. For now you will have to take my word for it. Trust is one of my major issues. If you told me to take your word for something I would question it even more. What I am really going through is fear. Am I really going to give my mind over to somebody so they can paint a picture for me to look at like a blue print so I can get better. How do I know they won't make a mistake and it won't just come crashing down? How do I know what their motives are? I don't. Today's color is gold and it glistens. -Josh

  1. first of all, i love gold. and yes it does glisten. i love the idea of something glistening. it is like when you notice something new in a person, and yes, we have that question of trust, but also that feeling of hopefulness and possible trust. it is both a good and horrible vulnerable feeling. i guess i think that gold and glistening can represent the idea of openness to letting someone or something in, even though it is a risk of hurting or failing, but at least if we try, we know that we are honest good people- and that we have lived in our most authentic being. does that make sense? well, i like it and right on with all you are saying and your wonderful choice of color. n.
