86th. Stroke

I have been reading a book by Thich Nhat Hanh and I really liked a part that I read today that made allot of sense to me so I thought I would share it. He pretty much has us ask the question "What's Not Wrong?" Just think how much things could change with that perspective.

79th. Stroke

I spent most of the day outside. We cooked eggs and sausage over an outdoor rock grill and ate near a stream. Then I went for a walk and took a bunch of pictures of the changing leaves. After that I sat for a little while and read. I was pretty shaky today so it made reading hard. My medication makes it so I have trouble even holding things some days. I've been seeing a neurologist to try and find out if there are other things going on. Oh well, we will know soon. (I thought the orange I used today could represent the leaves changing but then I remembered that I'm on the Internet and not everyone's leaves are changing so it is going to be for pumpkin pie instead.)

72nd. Stroke

Today I woke up late and got a huge shot of anxiety. I was in such a hurry to get ready to see my kids and my mom. They showed up about 15 minutes later and the rest of the day was great. Things always seem to work out and my stress doesn't make things happen any quicker. The only thing that seems to go by fast is the time when my kids are visiting. (I apologize for not having yesterdays pictures up until today. There was something wrong with the uploading.)

65th. Stroke

It's amazing how a little complement can make you feel. Letting someone know that you appreciate them can only make both of you happy. All the comments and likes I get for this project make me really happy and some days that's everything.

58th. Stroke

This yellow stroke represents the great energy I have from the cool hike I took this morning and from playing a really fun game of Ultimate Frisbee this afternoon.

51st. Stroke

‎ “Sometimes being a friend means mastering the art of timing. There is a time for silence. A time to let go and allow people to hurl themselves into their own destiny. And a time to prepare to pick up the pieces when it's all over.” ~Gloria Naylor

44th. Stroke

‎The color was requested by Catilyn and I am dedicating it as a big hug to her and Brandon for hanging out w/me all day and for how proud and happy they make me feel. And thank you also to Naomi, Christie and Tyler for making it possible.

37th. Stroke

It's gray outside so I figured that light blue would be a good color for today. Hopefully the rain and my depression will soon go away.

30th Stroke

I did allot of reading today. I seem to often be part way through three books lately. Anyway at least one of them is always on spiritual practice of some sort mostly Buddhism related. So far these ideas have made the most sense to me. To me this project is just like one one of these ideas. -Josh

‎23rd. Stroke

The first day of a new month and the last day of the weekend. 342 days left of this project. I appreciate everyone's support so far and know that it will help get me through this. We all know a group of people who knows a group of people and so forth. If you could further show your support and share this with your friends we could spread color and hope with everyone. ~Joshua

16th. Stroke

Today's color yellow was chosen by request. It makes me feel good when people want to participate. I like the effect this stroke had over the darker ones. I know I sound pretty positive in my blogs but what you might not realize it's for that reason I have one. It gives me a way of getting out what I need to hear. Today has not been the best day for me but I will get over it. I need to go outside now and breath in some air and appreciate my surroundings. -Josh

9th. Stroke

Today was a good day. I accomplished allot today and that makes me feel prepared for taking on another week. I had some great visits this weekend that made me happy but at the same time made me miss those people even more. I would have to say my mood is neutral if that can be a mood. Well for today it is and to me it looked like light green.

2nd. Stroke

7/11/2010
Sunday. With day two comes the 2nd.stroke. Blue is the color that represents to me the oppososit of the excited red feeling. A more sad and depressed feeling. I would like to live in the middle somewhere instead of one extreme or the other. Blue is actually one of my favorite colors. What do you think would be a good color to represent the middle of these extremes? Do certain colors represent certain things to you? Which extreme do you most often find yourself in? What is your favorite color?
